Faith Kipyegon

Faith Kipyegon made history in the summer of 2023 by breaking three world records in the span of just a few weeks, dominating the 1500m, 5000m, and the mile. She became the first person to ever hold all three records simultaneously. Her performances cemented her status as one of the greatest middle-distance runners of all time.

Faith Kipyegon represents Kenya and is a prominent figure in the nation's storied history of middle and long-distance running. She frequently competes in the Kenyan national colors on the Diamond League circuit and at the Olympic Games. She trains in Kenya, benefiting from the high-altitude environment of the Great Rift Valley.

Kipyegon has won multiple Olympic gold medals, securing back-to-back titles in the 1500 meters at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Her tactical brilliance allows her to unleash a devastating final sprint, making her nearly unbeatable in major championship finals. She also won a silver medal as part of Kenya's relay team in Paris 2024.

Faith Kipyegon is coached by Patrick Sang, a legendary former steeplechase runner who is most famous for coaching marathon world record holder Eliud Kipchoge.
