In the 2022 thriller *Fall*, the main characters become trapped at the top of a fictional 2,000-foot television broadcast tower. The tower is depicted as being located in an isolated desert area in the United States. The extreme height of the structure is the primary source of the film's vertigo-inducing suspense.

The production did not force actors to climb a 2,000-foot tower, but they did shoot at a real location to achieve a sense of height. The filmmakers used the actual KXTV/KOVR radio tower in Walnut Grove, California, which stands at over 2,000 feet, to capture panoramic background plates. The actors performed their scenes on a massive, fully constructed replica of the tower's top section built on a studio lot.

The survival thriller stars Grace Fulton as Becky and Virginia Gardner as Hunter, two best friends who share a passion for climbing. The cast is very small, focusing almost entirely on the emotional and physical struggles of the two women trapped at the top of the tower. The intense, isolated performance by the leads drives the psychological tension of the film.

Director Scott Mann's *Fall* was famously edited to secure a PG-13 rating rather than an R rating to ensure it could reach a wider audience. The filmmakers had to digitally alter some of the strong language using CGI to avoid the restrictive rating. Consequently, the movie relies heavily on thematic peril and vertigo-inducing visuals rather than explicit gore.
