FARO Freestyle 2

The FARO Freestyle 2 is a handheld 3D laser scanner specifically optimized for capturing objects up to approximately 150 cm in size. It is ideal for scanning medium-sized items like machine parts or car interiors.

This portable scanner utilizes a single-beam laser technology to capture detailed geometric data. The device also incorporates an integrated color camera that automatically overlays photographic data onto the 3D scan.

Data captured by the FARO Freestyle 2 is typically processed using FARO SCENE software. This software allows users to stitch together multiple scans, clean up point clouds, and export the 3D models into various CAD formats.

Because it uses a laser engine rather than structured light, the Freestyle 2 is capable of scanning outdoors in direct sunlight. This gives it a significant advantage for capturing 3D data on construction sites or exterior building facades.
