Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!

The movie was written and directed by the prolific American filmmaker Russ Meyer. It was released in 1965 and became a cornerstone of the mid-century sexploitation and underground cult film scene.

The film stars Tura Satana as the ruthless Varla, Haji as her girlfriend Rosie, and Lori Williams as the thrill-seeking Billie. Together, they play a trio of violent go-go dancers who cause havoc in the California desert.

After violently killing a young man in a desert car race, the three women kidnap his girlfriend and plot to rob a wealthy, wheelchair-bound older man. The film centers heavily around their intense desert car culture, martial arts brawls, and the pursuit of hidden cash.

Upon its release in 1965, the film was heavily criticized by censors for its intense violence and aggressive female sexuality. However, it has since gained a massive cult following and is frequently praised by modern critics as a feminist masterpiece of the exploitation genre.
