Fifty Percent Grey is a 2001 Irish computer-animated science-fiction short film written and directed by Ruairi Robinson. It follows a soldier who awakens in a sparse room containing a television and receives an unsettling explanation of his circumstances, using dark comedy and a compact afterlife premise rather than dialogue-heavy exposition. The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film at the 74th Academy Awards, held in 2002.
