While the 6.5-inch Continuum cone midrange driver delivers surprisingly deep bass for a bookshelf speaker, it does not replace the low-end rumble of a dedicated subwoofer. If you listen to bass-heavy music or watch action movies, adding a subwoofer is highly recommended. For acoustic or jazz music in small rooms, the Aria 906 performs brilliantly on its own.
