Which operating systems can run Freelan?

Freelan was developed for Windows, Linux, and macOS. Every participating machine needs compatible software and configuration because it is not a hosted consumer VPN service.

Will Freelan give me an IP address in another country?

Not by itself. It creates a private network among computers you control; obtaining an exit address in another country requires operating a Freelan node there and routing internet traffic through it.

How is Freelan different from Tailscale?

Freelan is an open-source VPN engine that generally requires manual certificate, topology, and routing configuration. Tailscale builds a managed coordination layer around WireGuard and is usually easier for quickly connecting personal devices.
