Gabriel & Dresden

Gabriel & Dresden is an American electronic music duo consisting of Josh Gabriel and Dave Dresden. They gained prominence in the early 2000s as remixers and DJs in the progressive trance and house scenes before releasing their self-titled debut album in 2006.

The album blends progressive trance, vocal house, and electronica, reflecting the duo's background in both club-oriented dance music and melodic songwriting. This style positioned them alongside other mid-2000s electronic acts like Above & Beyond and Tiësto.

The album features collaborations with several guest vocalists from the electronic dance music world, including Jes Brieden (JES). JES had previously worked with the duo on the hit track "As the Rush Comes" under their collaborative project name Motorcycle.

While the duo first built their reputation remixing tracks for artists like Annie Lennox, Tiësto, and Sarah McLachlan, the 2006 album was their first full-length release of original material. The album allowed them to explore longer-form song structures and vocal collaborations beyond the single-oriented remix format.
