description GJ 273 c Overview
GJ 273 c is a small exoplanet orbiting GJ 273, also known as Luyten's Star, a nearby red dwarf. It was reported in 2017 from radial-velocity observations made with the HARPS spectrograph and identified as part of a multi-planet system that includes GJ 273 b. GJ 273 c travels closer to its host star than planet b and therefore receives more stellar radiation. It is generally described as a super-Earth-sized or lower-mass planet, not as a gas giant.
