Guarena

description Guarena Overview

The Guareña meteorite is an H6 ordinary chondrite that fell in Badajoz province, Spain, in 1892. It is one of the more substantial historical meteorite falls recorded in Spain, and specimens are held in several museum and university collections. As an H6 chondrite, it represents a chemically equilibrated sample of its parent body, meaning its constituent minerals reached chemical equilibrium through prolonged thermal metamorphism. The meteorite has been studied in the context of understanding thermal processing in the early solar system.
