The TW-X is positioned as a players-distance iron aimed at low-to-mid handicap golfers, roughly in the single-digit to 12 handicap range. It offers more forgiveness than a pure blade like the TW-747 but is less game-improvement oriented than the T//World GS iron.

The TW-X offers a similar compact head shape and workability to the Titleist T100 but with slightly more spring-face technology for distance, comparable to the Ping i230.
