description Irkut MC-21 Overview
The Irkut MC-21 is a Russian narrow-body passenger aircraft developed by Irkut Corporation, now part of the United Aircraft Corporation group. It first flew in 2017 and was designed for medium-haul airline service in the same broad market as the Airbus A320 family and Boeing 737 family. The aircraft was developed with the option of using Russian Aviadvigatel PD-14 engines, alongside imported powerplants during its development.
