iRobot Roomba s9+

A D-shaped body gives the Roomba s9+ a different approach to edge cleaning from round robot vacuums. Its flat front, wide cleaning head and dedicated Corner Brush form part of the PerfectEdge system, designed to reach along walls and into corners. Dual rubber brushes and suction handle everyday debris and pet hair, with carpet cleaning a central part of its intended role. The supplied Clean Base automatically empties the robot's dustbin into a disposable bag.

Navigation uses a camera-based mapping system known as vSLAM, allowing the robot to build a map and follow organized cleaning routes. This is a vacuum-only model, without a mopping attachment. It suits households that prioritize carpet maintenance and wall-edge coverage over wet cleaning. As an older design, its appeal rests on those specific cleaning features rather than the broader automation offered by newer combination robots.
