Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back

The duo travels to Hollywood to stop the production of a film based on their comic book counterparts, Bluntman and Chronic. They discover the movie is being made by Miramax and want to stop internet critics from ruining their reputations. Along the way, they cross paths with a group of animal liberationists.

The film is famous for its massive number of celebrity cameos, including Ben Affleck and Matt Damon playing themselves on the set of "Good Will Hunting 2." Mark Hamill appears as a supervillain named Cocknocker. Carrie Fisher also makes a cameo as a nun.

The movie features multiple direct references to the Star Wars franchise, most notably Mark Hamill's cameo. The final showdown between Jay, Silent Bob, and Cocknocker heavily mirrors the lightsaber duels. The movie's title itself is a direct play on "The Empire Strikes Back."

The 2001 comedy was written and directed by Kevin Smith. It is the fifth film set in his interconnected "View Askewniverse" universe. The film serves as a send-off to the two titular characters before their later revival in 2019.
