Jeremiah Clarke was an English composer and organist associated with the late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries. He is best known for the piece commonly called the Prince of Denmark's March, which was long attributed to Henry Purcell before being reassigned to Clarke. Clarke held important church music positions, including organist duties at St Paul's Cathedral. He died in 1707 after taking his own life, according to contemporary accounts.
