Jim Steinman was an American composer, lyricist, and record producer known for his theatrical, epic compositions. He had a long-standing collaboration with Meat Loaf, writing and producing Bat Out of Hell (1977) and Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell (1993). He also wrote and produced major hits for other artists, including "Total Eclipse of the Heart" for Bonnie Tyler. He won a Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1997 for his work on Celine Dion's Falling into You.
