description John Horner Overview

John Horner is an American paleontologist who served as the curator of paleontology at the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman, Montana. He gained international recognition for his groundbreaking discoveries of dinosaur nesting sites, notably the "Egg Mountain" locality. Horner's work with the duck-billed dinosaur Maiasaura provided some of the first substantial evidence that certain dinosaurs cared for their young in colonies. His extensive field research in the Two Medicine Formation has significantly advanced the scientific understanding of dinosaur behavior and growth.
