Joseph Falk

Joseph Falk is an American mime and physical comedian who works in modern vaudeville and theatrical clowning circuits. His career is built on live performance traditions rather than film or television, which is why his name circulates mainly among live-comedy audiences.

No, there is no known family connection. Peter Falk was the actor famous for playing Lieutenant Columbo in the long-running TV detective series, an entirely different person from the mime and physical comedian.

His work lives on the live circuit: modern vaudeville revues, variety shows, and clowning festivals, where physical comedy is performed in front of an audience. Because mime is fundamentally a live, non-verbal art form, much of it is not captured on video, so checking contemporary variety and clown-festival lineups is the best route.

He works in the modern lineage of theatrical mime and clowning that descends from twentieth-century French masters like Marcel Marceau and Etienne Decroux. Contemporary performers in that tradition blend classic silent techniques with vaudeville-style audience interaction rather than performing silent-film pastiche.
