Joseph is a biblical oratorio by the English composer George Alexander Macfarren, written for the Leeds Musical Festival and first performed there on 21 September 1877. Its text, selected and arranged by Edwin George Monk, follows the story of Joseph from the Book of Genesis. The work uses solo voices, a mixed chorus, a semi-chorus representing Joseph's brothers, and orchestra in a two-part structure.
