Jruchi Gospels

The Jruchi Gospels are illuminated Georgian Gospel manuscripts that were created during the 10th and 11th centuries. They represent a significant period of medieval Georgian art and religious manuscript production.

They are considered among the finest surviving examples of medieval Georgian book painting and calligraphy. The manuscripts provide crucial insight into the artistic, cultural, and religious practices of medieval Georgia.
