The Juiced Bikes RipRacer is equipped to reach a top speed of 20 miles per hour using just the handlebar throttle or pedal-assist system, keeping it street-legal for Class 2 e-bike regulations in most areas. However, when unlocked in 'Race Track Mode,' the bike is capable of hitting speeds around 28 miles per hour. This compact urban e-bike balances utility riding with moped-like performance capabilities.

With its low-step frame and smaller 20-inch wheels, the RipRacer is highly accommodating to shorter riders who struggle with traditional large-frame e-bikes. The low frame design makes mounting and dismounting incredibly easy, while the upright riding position maximizes comfort during short commutes. However, taller riders might find the small wheelbase feels a bit cramped on longer journeys.

The RipRacer features both a pedal-assist system (PAS) and a handlebar-mounted twist throttle, giving it characteristics of both utility e-bikes and motorized mopeds. You can ride the bike entirely under your own power, use the throttle to accelerate from a complete stop without pedaling, or use the PAS to augment your pedaling efforts. The throttle is incredibly useful for navigating tricky intersections or steep urban hills.

While the RipRacer is a rugged bike built for urban recreation, it is not designed for aggressive mountain biking trails. Its small wheels and commuter-style tires are optimized for pavement, gravel paths, and city streets rather than rocky, highly technical terrain. It handles light off-road trails well, but riders looking for true mountain biking should look at dedicated fat-tire suspension e-bikes.
