The lens memory feature allows you to save specific zoom, focus, and lens shift positions, which is highly beneficial for Constant Image Height (CIH) setups. This lets you seamlessly switch between different aspect ratios, such as zooming a 2.35:1 widescreen movie to fill a Cinemascope screen and then shrinking it back for standard 16:9 HDTV content.

The JVC DLA-X90R is equipped with two HDMI ports on the rear input panel. These ports are HDCP 2.2 compliant, ensuring that you can pass encrypted 4K UHD signals from modern devices like 4K Blu-ray players without handshake issues.

The projector utilizes JVC's proprietary D-ILA (Direct-Drive Image Light Amplifier) technology, specifically featuring three 0.7-inch 4K D-ILA devices. This reflective liquid crystal technology is renowned for delivering industry-leading native contrast ratios and incredibly smooth, film-like images.

While the X90R features JVC's BLU-Escent Laser Blue technology for enhanced brightness, it is ultimately designed for a dedicated, light-controlled home theater. Because D-ILA projectors excel at deep black levels, any ambient light hitting the screen will wash out the image and defeat the projector's core advantage.
