Which real historical period does Kingdom cover?
Kingdom is set during China's Warring States period, before the Qin unification. Its two central figures are Xin, inspired by the Qin general Li Xin, and Ying Zheng, the future Qin Shi Huang.
Why do people warn new viewers about Kingdom season 1 animation?
The first anime season used a lot of early CG animation, which many viewers found stiff compared with later seasons. The story comes from Yasuhisa Hara's manga, which began in Weekly Young Jump in 2006.
