Kingdome

description Kingdome Overview

The Kingdome was a domed multipurpose stadium in Seattle, Washington. It opened in 1976 and served as the home venue for the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball and the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League, while also hosting other sports and public events. Its large concrete structure and covered playing field made it a major part of Seattle's sports infrastructure during the late 20th century. The stadium was demolished by implosion in 2000 and is therefore a former venue.
