description L.A. Takedown Overview

L.A. Takedown is a 1989 American crime television film written and directed by Michael Mann. It began as a pilot for an NBC crime series, but after the series was not commissioned it was broadcast as a stand-alone television film. Mann later reworked the same central conflict between a police detective and a professional thief into the 1995 theatrical film Heat.
