help LG QNED85 FAQ
How does the LG QNED85 compare to Samsung's Neo QLED TVs?
Both use mini-LED backlights with quantum dot color, but the QNED85 layers LG's NanoCell technology on top and typically undercuts comparable Samsung Neo QLED models on price. A key differentiator is HDR format support: LG supports Dolby Vision, while Samsung's sets do not.
What sizes does the LG QNED85 come in?
The QNED85 line spans a wide range, typically from 55-inch up to 86-inch panels, letting buyers match a bright-room living space without changing model families. Larger sizes in the range usually get the 120Hz native panel, so check the specific size's spec sheet before buying for gaming.
Is the LG QNED85 good for gaming?
It's a solid gaming TV, with HDMI 2.1 support on larger sizes, VRR compatibility, and LG's Game Optimizer mode accessible through webOS. LG's webOS platform also supports cloud gaming apps natively, which is handy if you don't own a console.
Does the LG QNED85 handle bright rooms and reflections well?
Yes, the mini-LED backlight gives it high peak brightness for HDR highlights, and LG applies an anti-reflective coating to cut glare. That combination is exactly why the QNED series is often recommended for living rooms with lots of windows.
