Liverpool Bay

description Liverpool Bay Overview

Liverpool Bay is a shallow coastal embayment in the eastern Irish Sea, off the northwest coast of England. The rivers Mersey and Dee discharge into the bay, giving it an estuarine character and linking the area to two major river systems. Liverpool Bay is also associated with offshore wind development and hosts one of the United Kingdom's early offshore wind farms, so it is relevant to coastal geography and marine energy studies.
