LocoRoco

Instead of using the directional pad to move the characters directly, you tilt the entire game world using the Left and Right shoulder buttons on the PSP. Pressing both buttons simultaneously causes the LocoRoco to jump. This unique physics-based mechanic was developed specifically for the PlayStation Portable by Sony Computer Entertainment.

The primary antagonists in the game are the Moja Troop, a group of dark, spiky alien creatures that fall from the sky. They attempt to eat the LocoRoco and disrupt the peace of the planet. Players must avoid or defeat them by growing large enough to bump them off the screen.

The original PSP game is playable on the PlayStation Vita and PS3 via digital download, provided they are linked to a PSN account that still supports legacy PSP titles. Additionally, an enhanced version titled LocoRoco Remastered was released for the PS4 in 2017. The remaster features updated 4K graphics and standard DualShock 4 controls.

By pressing the circle button, your large LocoRoco splits into multiple smaller individual blobs. This mechanic is required to fit through narrow gaps and maze-like crevices scattered throughout the levels. Pressing the button again merges them back into a single large character.
