Longs Peak is a prominent 4,346-meter mountain located in the northern Front Range of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. As the highest summit within Rocky Mountain National Park, it is characterized by its massive, steep eastern face known as the Diamond. The mountain is a popular destination for experienced hikers and mountaineers, with the standard Keyhole route involving extensive scrambling above the treeline. First ascended in 1868 by an expedition led by John Wesley Powell, the peak is named after the explorer Stephen Long.
