description macOS Catalina Overview
macOS Catalina was a transitional OS that famously ended support for 32-bit applications, forcing a massive shift in the software ecosystem. It introduced Sidecar, allowing users to use an iPad as a secondary display, and split iTunes into separate Music, TV, and Podcasts apps. While it was a necessary step forward, it is now largely obsolete. It is only recommended for users who have specific, older 64-bit compatible software that does not run on newer versions of macOS.
