Marble Arch is a Neoclassical triumphal arch in London, England, designed by the architect John Nash for the approach to Buckingham Palace. Built from white Carrara marble in the early nineteenth century, it was moved from the palace forecourt to its present position near the northeastern corner of Hyde Park in 1851. The monument now marks a major junction and serves as a recognizable landmark in central London.
