description Mattel HyperScan Overview

Mattel HyperScan was a home video game console released in North America in 2006. It used CD-ROM games together with RFID-enabled IntelliCards that could be scanned to unlock or affect game content, combining a conventional gamepad with a card-based toy feature. Mattel marketed the system toward tweens and included games based on properties such as X-Men and Ben 10, but discontinued the console in 2007 after a short commercial run.
