help Midnight Rising FAQ
Which Midnight Breed book is Midnight Rising?
It's the fourth published volume of Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed series, first published in 2008. It sits between Midnight Awakening (book three, Tegan's story) and Veil of Midnight (book five).
Whose story is told in Midnight Rising?
It belongs to Rio, a Breed warrior left scarred and isolated after a betrayal in Berlin that killed his teammates. He's paired with Dylan Alexander, a young journalist who discovers him while on assignment, and much of the book reportedly unfolds around his remote mountain post in the Czech Republic.
Do you have to read the Midnight Breed books in order before Midnight Rising?
Each book is a self-contained couple's romance, but Rio's injuries and the events that broke him were established in earlier volumes. Reading at least the first three books makes his redemption arc far more meaningful.
What should I read after Midnight Rising?
Book five, Veil of Midnight, is the next stop in the Midnight Breed series. The larger war against the Rogues and the secrets Rio was guarding carry forward into it.
