Millennium

Yes, *Millennium* was created by Chris Carter, the same creator behind *The X-Files*, and the two shows exist in the same shared television universe. The main character, Frank Black, even makes a guest appearance in *The X-Files* Season 7 episode titled "Millennium" to formally conclude the series. The show also featured several crossover directors and writers from the *X-Files* staff.

The Fox network aired exactly three seasons of *Millennium* between 1996 and 1999 before canceling the show. Unfortunately, the series was abruptly canceled on a cliffhanger ending, much to the dismay of its dedicated fanbase. In total, the show produced 67 episodes across its three-year run.

In the series, the Millennium Group is a secretive, ancient consulting firm composed of experts who investigate bizarre crimes and apocalyptic threats. Frank Black, played by Lance Henriksen, joins the group to help solve violent crimes using his unique psychological abilities.
