Misery Signals - Controller

Controller, released in 2008 on Ferret Records, featured the return of vocalist Karl Schubach, who had joined the band on the previous album 'Mirrors' (2006). The album continued the band's collaboration with producer Devin Townsend, who produced their debut 'Of Malice and the Magnum Heart' and returned for Controller.

Controller is often considered by fans to be one of Misery Signals' strongest releases, building on the melodic metalcore sound established on 'Of Malice and the Magnum Heart' (2004). It features a more refined balance of melodic guitar passages and heavy breakdowns compared to its predecessor 'Mirrors.'

Controller was produced by Devin Townsend, the acclaimed Canadian metal producer and musician also known for his work with Strapping Young Lad. Townsend had previously produced Misery Signals' debut album, and his production brought a polished, expansive sound to Controller.

Controller was released in 2008 on Ferret Music, a U.S.-based metal and hardcore label that also released music from bands like Every Time I Die and The Black Dahlia Murder. The album was the band's third full-length release.
