Monotype Corsiva

description Monotype Corsiva Overview

Monotype Corsiva is a calligraphic script typeface designed by Patricia Saunders for Monotype and released in 1991. Its slanted forms draw on Renaissance Italian chancery cursive, with decorative capitals and letter shapes intended for display text rather than long passages of ordinary reading. The typeface became familiar through its inclusion in Microsoft Office and related software bundles, and it is commonly used for invitations, certificates, headings, and other short formal or decorative text.
