description Mozilla DeepSpeech Overview

Mozilla DeepSpeech was an open-source automatic speech-recognition engine based on deep neural networks and inspired by research published by Baidu. It converted recorded or streamed speech into text and provided pretrained models as well as tools for training models on other datasets and languages. Mozilla discontinued active development of the project, but its source code remains available and has supported community-led successors such as Coqui STT.
