Mystery Case Files

The series places the player in the role of an unnamed Master Detective who examines locations and solves puzzles. The Detective is tasked with investigating a central mystery, often involving the supernatural or highly eccentric villains. Players work directly for the Queen of England in many of the titles.

Mystery Case Files is a hidden-object puzzle adventure (HOPA) franchise developed and published by Big Fish Games. Players must search for concealed objects in cluttered scenes to collect inventory items. It is one of the pioneering franchises of the casual hidden-object genre.

The Ravenhearst storyline is arguably the most famous narrative arc within the Mystery Case Files universe. It revolves around the haunted Ravenhearst Manor and the villainous Charles Dalimar. The series also features the popular Dire Grove and Return to Ravenhearst installments.

While originally released for PC and Mac via the Big Fish Games portal, the franchise has expanded to multiple platforms. Many of the games have been ported to the Nintendo Wii and DS, as well as iOS and Android mobile devices. The casual gameplay translates perfectly to touch screens.
