description NGC 595 Overview
NGC 595 is a giant H II region in the Triangulum Galaxy, also called Messier 33, where ultraviolet radiation from young, massive stars ionizes surrounding hydrogen gas. Heinrich Louis d'Arrest discovered it in 1864. It is one of the largest star-forming nebulae in the Local Group and is studied by astronomers investigating massive stars, ionized gas, and stellar evolution outside the Milky Way.
