description Northwest Stadium Overview

Northwest Stadium is an open-air American football venue in Landover, Maryland, that opened in 1997 as Jack Kent Cooke Stadium and is the home of the NFL's Washington Commanders. It was named FedExField from 1999 until 2024, when it received its current name under a naming-rights agreement with Northwest Federal Credit Union. The stadium was for a time the NFL's largest by seating capacity before renovations reduced it.
