Observatory Inlet

description Observatory Inlet Overview

Observatory Inlet is a long fjord on the coast of British Columbia, Canada, branching from Portland Inlet. The inlet provided maritime access to Anyox, a former copper-mining and smelting settlement whose industrial activity depended on transport by water. Its remote setting, steep coastal terrain, and connection with the Portland Inlet system make it part of the complex fjord landscape of northern British Columbia.
