How fast are the elevators at One World Observatory?

The elevators that transport visitors to the observatory are incredibly high-speed, known as "Sky Pods". They travel at a rate of 23 miles per hour, reaching the 102nd floor in about 47 seconds. During the ride, the elevator walls feature floor-to-ceiling LED screens showing the changing New York skyline.
