One World Observatory

One World Observatory is located at the top of One World Trade Center in New York City. It sits exactly 1,776 feet above sea level, a number deliberately chosen to reference the year of American independence. The main observatory floors are situated on the 100th, 101st, and 102nd levels of the building.

The elevators that transport visitors to the observatory are incredibly high-speed, known as "Sky Pods". They travel at a rate of 23 miles per hour, reaching the 102nd floor in about 47 seconds. During the ride, the elevator walls feature floor-to-ceiling LED screens showing the changing New York skyline.

The observatory offers breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views of New York City, New Jersey, and the surrounding areas. On a clear day, visitors can see for up to 50 miles in every direction. Major landmarks like the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge, and Central Park are easily visible.

The Sky Portal is an interactive, 14-foot wide circular screen located on the main observation floor. It displays real-time, high-definition footage of the streets directly below the tower. It gives visitors the optical illusion of standing on a glass floor high above the city.
