The Opéra de Rennes is an Italian-style opera house in central Rennes, France. The building was designed by Charles Millardet and inaugurated on 29 February 1836; its rounded exterior was integrated into a larger urban development containing apartments and shops. The auditorium and stage host opera and other musical performances for residents and visitors in Brittany, while the institution also preserves and interprets the history of the theatre.
