Yes, OSS 117: Lost in Rio is the sequel to the 2006 film OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies. Both films star Jean Dujardin as the oblivious French secret agent Hubert Bonisseur de La Bath. A third entry in the series, OSS 117: From Africa with Love, was released in 2021.

Michel Hazanavicius directed all three Dujardin-led OSS 117 films. Hazanavicius and Dujardin later collaborated on The Artist (2011), which won the Academy Award for Best Picture. The OSS 117 films established their creative partnership before The Artist brought them international recognition.
