Outrageous Fortune is a 1987 American comedy directed by Arthur Hiller and written by Leslie Dixon. Bette Midler plays Sandy Brozinsky and Shelley Long plays Lauren Ames, two aspiring actresses who become rivals after learning that they are involved with the same man, Michael Sanders, played by Peter Coyote.
