description Pairi Daiza Overview
Set in Brugelette in Belgium's Hainaut province, Pairi Daiza combines a zoological park with extensive themed gardens. The grounds occupy the former Cambron Abbey site, so historic buildings and monastic heritage form part of the setting. Animal areas are arranged within worlds inspired by different regions, with planting and architecture contributing to the experience alongside the wildlife. Giant pandas are among its defining attractions, and the park participates in international breeding and conservation efforts.
Pairi Daiza suits families who want to combine animal observation with garden exploration, as well as visitors interested in how a former religious site has been adapted. Its identity lies in the integration of wildlife and designed surroundings. The gardens are a substantial part of the visit, rather than decoration around a conventional sequence of enclosures.
