While technically a Gainax production, the core staff behind this show went on to form Trigger, and it is widely considered a spiritual Trigger work. It is an irreverent, vulgar, and hilarious satire of Western animation styles. The show follows two angels who are kicked out of heaven and must hunt ghosts to earn their way back. It is crude, loud, and completely unapologetic, featuring some of the most creative and chaotic animation in the studio's history.
It is a cult classic for a reason.
