description Parents Overview

Parents is a 1989 American black comedy horror film directed by Bob Balaban. The story follows a boy living in an apparently ordinary suburban community during the 1950s who begins to suspect that his parents are involved in cannibalism. Randy Quaid and Mary Beth Hurt play the parents, while the film uses the family's domestic setting to combine dark humor, psychological unease, and horror.
