Released in 2018, the IQ4 digital back features a massive 151-megapixel medium-format sensor. This provides an unprecedented level of detail and dynamic range, offering the highest resolution commercially available in a handheld camera system.

The digital back seamlessly integrates with the Phase One XF camera body, creating a completely modular medium-format system. It can also be adapted to technical cameras via an expandable interface for architectural photography.

The IQ4 runs on the Infinity Platform, which utilizes a built-in Intel Curie processor to manage the huge data loads of medium-format raw files. It also relies heavily on internal Capture One processing to handle the immense file sizes efficiently.

The camera features a robust leaf shutter system inside the lenses, but the sensor also offers an electronic shutter capable of exposures up to 60 minutes. This allows for completely vibration-free flash syncs at incredibly high shutter speeds.
