Private Hell 36 is a 1954 American film noir directed by Don Siegel and produced through The Filmakers, the independent company associated with Ida Lupino and Collier Young. The story follows police detectives who recover stolen money during an investigation and secretly keep part of it, exposing their partnership to suspicion, greed, and internal surveillance. The cast includes Steve Cochran, Howard Duff, Ida Lupino, and Dean Jagger.
